Personal training with the coach

What Happens After Your Foundations On-Ramp?

Every new member starts with our Foundations On-Ramp.

Those first four personal training sessions are designed to teach the basics, establish starting points, and give our coaches a clear understanding of how you move and what you’re working toward.

Foundations is not the entire program.

It’s the starting point.

What We Learn During Foundations

During Foundations, we introduce the squat, bench press, deadlift, and overhead press when each movement is appropriate for the individual.

We teach setup, bracing, technique, range of motion, and tempo. As you become more comfortable, we gradually increase the weight and work toward a manageable 8-rep max.

That gives us useful information from the beginning.

We learn how you move, which exercises feel comfortable, where modifications may be helpful, and what weights give you an appropriate challenge.

We also get to know your goals, training experience, schedule, and preferences.

By the end of Foundations, we have a much better picture of what your ongoing training should look like.

Choosing the Right Training Plan

Not every member needs the same type of program after Foundations.

Some people want the individual attention and customization of one-on-one personal training.

Others enjoy the energy and structure of our semi-private group sessions, where everyone follows the same workout and our coaches modify movements when needed.

Some members choose a hybrid plan that combines personal training with semi-private group sessions.

The right choice depends on your goals, experience, schedule, and how much individual coaching you need.

Our job is to help you choose the option that makes the most sense, not push everyone into the same membership.

Moving Into the 4 Strength Systems

Once Foundations is complete, your training continues through our 4 Strength Systems:

Movement Quality focuses on building strong movement patterns and improving control.

Strength Development focuses on gradually increasing your ability to produce force and handle heavier resistance.

Work Capacity helps you perform more quality work while improving conditioning and recovery.

Sustainability brings everything together so training remains productive, manageable, and realistic over the long term.

These systems give your training direction.

You are not just completing random workouts from week to week. Each phase has a purpose, and your coaches use what we learned during Foundations to help guide your progress.

Your Starting Point Is Not Your Finish Line

The weights, exercises, and modifications we establish during Foundations are not permanent.

They give us a baseline.

As your technique improves and your strength increases, we continue adjusting your training. That may mean adding weight, progressing an exercise, changing the number of sets and reps, or shifting the focus of your program.

Your training should develop as you do.

Establishing a clear starting point gives us something reliable to build from instead of guessing every time you walk into the gym.

You’ll Know What Comes Next

Starting a new gym should not leave you wondering what to do after your first few sessions.

By the end of Foundations, you will understand the main movements, know your starting weights, meet your coaching team, and have a clear recommendation for your ongoing training.

Foundations helps us learn where you are today.

Our Strength Systems give us the plan for where we go next.
